Ms. Connie Watson Adams

Ms. Connie Watson Adams, age 69, of Thomaston, died Thursday, December 23, 2021, at Upson Regional Medical Center. Graveside services for Ms. Adams will be held Sunday, December 26, at 2:00 PM, at Friendship Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Jason Weeks will officiate. The family will receive friends on Sunday at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home from 12:30 until 1:30 PM. Ms. Adams was born in Thomaston on March 19, 1952, a daughter of the late Asa C. Watson and the late Ludie Hudson Watson. She was a 1970 graduate of R.E. Lee Institute and later graduated from Columbus State University with a Masters of Education in 1981. She was employed by the Thomaston-Upson County School System for seven years, Flint River Technical College for twelve years, and later retired from Augusta Technical College after ten years. She enjoyed traveling. She visited Venezuela, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, and various places in South America. She attended Fellowship Baptist Church. Ms. Adams is survived by her sons whom she loved very much, George (Lindsey) Adams and Ben Adams, both of Thomaston; a sister, Patsy Watson, a brother, Robert (Tonya) Watson, both of Ellijay; her grandchildren, Aubrey Adams and Wyatt Adams, and her nieces and nephews, Jenny Watson, Bobbie Jo White, Dixie Sanford, Robbie Watson, and Riley Watson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Terry Watson. Fletcher-Day Funeral Home of Thomaston is in charge of all arrangements.
