Ms. Diane English Bentley

Ms. Diane English Bentley, 73, of Jefferson, GA, died Sunday, January 3, 2021, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Athens, Georgia. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Ms. Bentley was born in Thomaston, GA, on January 11, 1947, to the late Clayton G. English and Betty Ellington English. She was a 1965 graduate of R. E. Lee Institute. She was a flight attendant with Delta Air Lines and was later employed in the medical field.

Survivors include a daughter Brandian (Joel) Hadaway of Smith’s Station, AL; a son, Brandt Bentley of Jefferson, GA; her mother, Betty Ellington English of Forsyth, GA; her twin brother, David (Betti) English of Stone Mountain, GA, and two other brothers: Clay (Marcia) English and Phillip (Connie) English, both of Forsyth, GA; two granddaughters: Kinsley Hadaway and Mattie Bentley; and two grandsons, Jay Lee Hadaway and Ryder Bentley. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
