Ms. Glenda Faye Bridges

Ms. Glenda Faye Bridges, age 77, of Thomaston, died Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at her residence.

Memorial services for Ms. Bridges will be held on Saturday, August 5, at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Smith officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home.

Ms. Bridges was born June 12, 1946, in Upson County, Georgia, the daughter of the late Marcus Lafayette Fowler and the late Sarah Reynolds Fowler. She retired from Thomaston Mills Bleachery after 25 years of service. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, and she loved working in her yard, especially tending to her flowers. Ms. Bridges was a member of Christ Chapel.

Ms. Bridges is survived by her daughters, Tammie Bellew (Randy Jones) and Christy (Aaron) Strom, both of Thomaston; her grandchildren, Heath (Megan) Bellew, Lamar Bellew, Landon Strom, Blaze (Shannon) Strom, Kloe Strom, Ashley Kitchens (Kelsey Smith), Lacy Bellew, Chaise Bellew, Tyler (Sam) Callahan, and Lauren Bellew; her great grandchildren, Brent (Olivia) Bellew, Tanner Pace, Anslee Bellew, Kaylyn Bellew, Kailee Bellew, Karoline Bellew, Kaden Bellew, Xander Strom, Ryker Strom, Salem Strom, Ayvan Smith, Olivia Kitchens, Jaden Brown, Chris Brown, Brian Brown, Brayden Brown, Carrie Brown, Sophia Brown, Cody Brown, Tripp Brown, Isabella Brown, Ryleigh Callahan, Sayler Callahan, Addison Bellew, and one on the way, Stella Strom. Also surviving are her nephews and niece, Jeremy Fowler, Marc (Dara) Wade, Jason (Jennifer) Campbell, and Michelle Milstein.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jeffery Bellew, and her brother, Thomas Fowler.
