Ms. Karen Sue Herron

Ms. Karen Herron, 63, of Yatesville, died Sunday, June 15th, 2014 at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon. Funeral services for Ms. Herron will be held on Wednesday, June 18th, 2014 at 4 pm in the Chapel of the Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home. Pastor Al Hammond and Mr. John Wesley Long IV will officiate. Ms. Herron was born in Atlanta on September 22nd, 1950, a daughter of the late Frank Herron, Jr., and Verlon 'Roc' Herron. Her family moved to Yatesville when she was a young child and she was graduated from Yatesville High School. She later was graduated from the University of Georgia. Ms. Herron was a retired computer technician for the Veteran's Administration and also owned and operated her own travel agency. She was a member of the Yatesville Baptist Church. Ms. Herron is survived by numerous cousins and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Upson County Cancer Car Fund, c/o Carey Pitts, 300 Upson Avenue, Thomaston, GA 30286. The family of Ms. Herron will receive friends at Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6 until 8 pm. Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
