Ms. Linda Nadine Fowler

October 14, 1932 — May 11, 2023

Ms. Linda Nadine Fowler, known to all as Nadine, of Thomaston, Georgia, passed away Thursday, May 11, 2023, at Warm Springs Medical Center. She was 90 years old.


Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, May 15, in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home with Monty Eason officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00am to 11:00am prior to the service. Interment will follow in South View Cemetery.


Nadine was born October 14, 1932, in Thomaston Georgia, the daughter of Hubert Fowler and Mary Daniel Fowler. A lifelong resident of Thomaston, she graduated from R.E. Lee Institute in 1951 and attend David Lipscomb College in Nashville Tennessee. Nadine was a member of the North Church Street Church of Christ.


Nadine retired from Thomaston Mills after 45 years in the Finishing Division office. In her retirement she spent years as a Pink Lady at Upson Regional Hospital and nurturing her great-great nieces. Nadine enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, crafts, and sewing. She enjoyed spending time admiring all of God’s beautiful creation but especially sunrises, sunsets, birds, flowers and creeks and streams.


She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Milwood Fowler and sister, Patsy Fowler Smith. Survivors include her nephew Dean Fowler of Louisville, Kentucky, niece Beth Smith Neely-Hadley (Byron) of Warm Springs, Georgia, and niece Julie Smith Williams, (Ashley) of North Augusta, South Carolina; great nieces, Lauren Neely Allen, Brittany Neely Carroll (Keith), Shannon Neely, Kristen Williams White (Dustin), Morgan Williams Cerasuolo (Travis) and great nephew, Jeffrey Williams. Additional survivors include great-great nieces, Maddie, Bristol, Neely, Harper, Charleigh and great-great nephew Truitt. Surviving bonus family includes Hunter Hadley, Remington Hadley (Jessica), Dalton Hadley (Ashley) and children, Landon, Abby, Mya, Katy, Laikleigh, Reed and Remi.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Raintree Children’s Village, 3757 Johnston Road, Valdosta, Georgia 31601.
