Ms. Mary Elva Huguley Bucy

Ms. Mary Elva Huguley Bucy, age 77, of Thomaston, died Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at Monroe County Hospital in Forsyth, GA. Friends and family are invited to attend graveside funeral services for Ms. Bucy on Friday, April 5, at 2:00 PM, in Upson Memorial Gardens. Rev. Bryan McPherson will officiate.

Ms. Bucy was born February 12, 1947, in Thomaston to the late Thomas Richard Huguley, Sr. and the late Louise Ferrell Huguley. She was a 1965 graduate of R. E. Lee Institute and was a hairdresser for many years. Ms. Bucy was a member of First Baptist Church of Thomaston.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Bucy was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Richard Huguley, Jr. She is survived by her sister, Denise (Tim) Lewis of Thomaston; two nieces, Kelli (Jordan) Daniels of Forsyth, GA, and Katelyn Lewis of Atlanta, and two special great nieces, Ella Kate Daniels and Reece Daniels, both of Forsyth.
