Ms. "Susie" Mildred Dean Myrick

Ms. "Susie" Mildred Dean Myrick, 69, of Thomaston, died Sunday, January 19, 2020, at Upson Regional Medical Center. Funeral services for Ms. Myrick will be held on Thursday, January 23, at 3:00 PM, in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Rev. Bill Barber and Dr. Tommy Farr will officiate, and interment will follow in South View Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Fletcher Day Funeral Home on Thursday from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour. Ms. Myrick was born in Thomaston on March 20, 1950, to the late Julian Dean and Martha Boyt Dean. She retired from Thomaston Mills where she worked for 47 years. In addition to her parents, Ms. Myrick was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Ann Dean and a brother, Ben Dean. She is survived by her son, Benjie Myrick of Thomaston; long-time companion, Harry Bruce of Thomaston; two sisters: Linda Dean Schoultz and Patty Dean Durham, both of Thomaston; Cynthia Blount (daughter of Harry Bruce); and seven grandchildren: Lindsey Murphy, Chandler Murphy, Lawson Murphy, Luke Blount, Broden Blount, Cruiz Blount, and Raelyn Blount.
