Olen Baucom

Mr. Olen B. Baucom, 86, of Thomaston and formerly of Albany, died Saturday, August 3rd, 2013 at Riverside Nursing Center. Mr. Baucom was a native of Tampa, FL. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II and during his working life was employed by Keenan Auto Parts, where he worked in management. Mr. Baucom was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church of Albany. He is survived by his wife, Janice H. Baucom; his son, Paul (Ann) Baucom of Thomaston; his son-in-law, Alan (Sharon) Broome of Albany; seven grandchildren, Tabetha (David) Ragin of Macon, Courtney (Joe) Ellingson of Statesboro, and Hannah Baucom, Haley Baucom, Aryn Baucom, Rhett Baucom and Evan Baucom, all of Thomaston; and three great grandchildren, Blake Ragin of Macon and Charley Ragin and Zoe Ellingson, both of Statesboro. Mr. Baucom was preceded in death by his daughter, Robin Baucom Broome.
