Onzell Montgomery Jackson

Mrs. Onzell Montgomery Jackson, age 84, of Thomaston, died Monday, April 12, 2010, at Riverside Nursing Center. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 14th, 2010 at 4 pm in the Chapel of the Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home. Pastor Monty Eason will officiate and burial will follow in Crystal Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Jackson was a native of Gadsen, AL., but had lived in Thomaston for most of her life. She was a retired weaver for Thomaston Mills. Mrs. Jackson was a member of the Golden K Club, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Upson Regional Medical Center and the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW. She was a member of the Church of Christ on North Church St., in Thomaston. Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Evans Jackson. She is survived by two daughters, Annette (Sandy) Kersey of Thomaston and Connie (David) Nirenstein of Macon; a sister, Faye Bagley of Thomaston; four brothers, James Montgomery, Riley Montgomery and Earl Montgomery of Thomaston, and Barney Montgomery of Tucson, AZ; three grandchildren, Brandon (Michelle) Kersey, Brad (Bethany) Kersey and Benjamin Nirenstein; and three great grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the Church of Christ, 506 North Church St., Thomaston, GA., 30286. The family will receive friends at Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home Tuesday from 6 until 8 pm.
