Opal Louise Stone Cowart

Mrs. Opal Louise Stone Cowart age 92, of Thomaston died in Providence Health Care Friday night. Graveside service will be held Sunday, October 14, at 2:00 PM, in Upson Memorial Gardens. Rev. Charles Bennett will officiate. Mrs. Cowart was predeceased by her husband, Amos E. Cowart. She was a member of Hightower United Memorial Methodist Church for Fifty years. She was Manager of McConnell's Dime Store, worked for Neal Logue Company in downtown Thomaston, and Thomaston Mills. She is survived by a daughter, Anna (Hays) Arnold, Thomaston, a son Roger (Gwen) Cowart, Bolingbroke, Six grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
