Rachel Boyt

Mrs. Rachel Boyt, 94, formerly of Yatesville, died Sunday, February 9th, 2014 at Upson Regional Medical Center. Funeral services for Mrs. Boyt will be held on Tuesday, February 11th, 2014 in the Chapel of the Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home. Rev. Dean Hemphill will officiate, and burial will follow in the New Hope Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Yatesville. Mrs. Boyt was born in Meriwether County on February 21st, 1919, a daughter of the late Howard Ware and Annie Reeves Ware. Prior to her retirement several years ago she had been employed by the First National Bank of Barnesville and held the position of head teller. Mrs. Boyt was a member of the Yatesville Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Leta Smith of Albany; two sons, Steve (Jan) Boyt of Longwood, Fl, and Cecil (Deborah) Boyt of Griffin; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
