April 29, 1923 — November 14, 2010

Mrs. Harrison was a native of Eastman, GA but had lived in Thomaston since 1940. She was a retired seamstress for the William Carter Company. She was an excellent seamstress and cook who shared her talents with family and friends. 'Mrs. Rachel' will be remembered for her kind and loving spirit towards all she met and, most of all, for her sense of humor and quick wit. Mrs. Harrison was an active member of Silvertown Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for over 40 years. She also served as director for the Womens Missionary Union. She was a woman of great faith who was committed to the work of her Lord Jesus Christ. Mrs. Harrison was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Hue Harrison, in 1995. She is survived by her daughter, Lenora (Fred) Lilley of Greenville, NC; her son, Hugh (Ginger) Harrison of Gulf Breeze, FL; two grandchildren, Gail Lilley of Greensboro, NC, and Heath Harrison of Rockville, MD; and her caregiver, Nora Harper of Thomaston.
