Ramona Fulford

Ramona Waller Fulford - 82 years young of Meansville, GA, stormed into heaven around 10 a.m. on Friday, March 29th with all the authority expected from a GS16 retiree from the United States Air Force civil service.She was born in 1930 and raised in Macon, Georgia. In her career, she ate Colonels for breakfast then befriended them, charmed Senators, and dined in classy places with 4 star Generals. Ever the lady, she never met a stranger and made friends all over the country and the world. She was a member of Pine Mountain Nazerene Church and enjoyed spending time with her vast church family. Her tenacity and class will always be admired and missed dearly. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 29 years, Jack Peale Fulford, her parents Rubye Mae Shepard and Clem Hudson Waller, her quirky eldest brother, Paul Johnson, her loyal older brother Bill Johnson, her elder sister, librarian, and fantastic painter, Joyce King, and a plethora of cats that she spoiled rotten. She will be dearly missed by her daughters: the creative and resourceful eldest daughter, Donna Berg (married to Jim Berg) of Decorah, IA, and her soft-hearted and intuitive youngest daughter, Sharon Campbell of Warner Robins, GA. Also deeply missed by her fabulously outspoken, independent, and globe-trotting grandchildren: oldest, successful, and creatively ambitious Patrick Gronna (married to the gorgeous and smart Amy Gronna) of Las Vegas, NV, the middle, hard-working, smart, and family-dedicated Ryan Gronna (married to the talented and lovely Laura Gronna) of Madison, WI, and the youngest, jill-of-all-trades Danielle Grubb of Fredericksburg, VA. And missed by last, but certainly not least, her bright and intelligent great-grandchildren: future zoologist/veterinarian, mechanic, and spider whisperer Sedona Gronna of Las Vegas, NV, and handsome dude, cool bug collector, and nana's prince charming Canyon Gronna, also of Las Vegas, NV. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Paralyzed Veterans of America, which was a charity close to Ramona's heart.
