Mrs. Rebecca Inez White Jackson, 91, passed away at her residence on October 4th. She had been a resident of Upson County all of her life. She was the daughter of James Marshal White and Mattie Lizzie Griggars. She was the only daughter of six children. Mrs. Jackson was employed by the Thomaston Mills. She had worked in the spinning department at the Old Mill until she retired after thrity-seven years of service. Mrs. Jackson had been a member of the North Church Street Church of Christ for fifty-nine years. She is preceded in death by her husband James C. Jackson. They had been married for forty-nine years at the time of his death in 1986. She is also preceded in death by her son, James A. Jackson and her grandson, David P. Jackson. Mrs. Jackson is survived by her daughter, Brends Joyce Jackson, of Thomaston, her daughter-in-law, Sandra Thompson Jackson, of Bluffton, South Carolina, her granddaughter, Elizabeth Regina Jackson, of Memphis, Tennessee, her brother, Frank White, of Thomaston, her grandaughter-in-law Melanie Sevin Jackson, her step great grandson, Joseph Sevin of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, and her sisters-in-law, Barbara White and Ruby White of Thomaston, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and her special pet Poodle, Mattie. Mrs. Jackson was deeply loved and will be truly missed by her family and friends.
