Rev. Dale Hull Rush

Rev. Dale Hull Rush, 66, of Thomaston, died Monday, July 4th, 2016 at Upson Regional Medical Center. Funeral services for Rev. Rush will be held on Thursday, July 7th, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Fellowship Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Forsyth City Cemetery at 4:00 PM. The family of Rev. Rush will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5 until 8 PM. Rev . Rush was born in Mobile, AL, on October 3rd, 1949, a son of the late Warner and Joannah Hull Rush. He was a graduate of Florida State University and later Southwestern Seminary and held a Masters of Divinity Degree. Rev. Rush was a retired minister and had served as pastor for Shiloh Baptist Church in Upson County for a number of years. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. Rev. Rush is survived by his wife, Cherry E'Dalgo Rush; three sons, David (Nicole) Rush of Ft. Worth, TX, John (Shannon) Rush, and Philip (Mary Beth) Rush of Cumming; two sisters, Jo Ann (Lester) McCullough of Jacksonville, FL, and Rev. Deborah (Freddy) Davis of Tallahassee, FL; and five grandchildren, Isabel Rush, Elijah Rush, Lydia Joy Rush, Isaac Rush and Elizabeth Rush. The family request that memorial contributions be made to Spreading the Gospel thru Milner Baptist Church, 107 Pecan Dr. Milner, GA 30257. Fletcher-Day Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
