Ruby Ellington Norris

Mrs. Ruby Ellington Norris, age 87, of Thomaston, died Saturday, March 24, 2012, at Riverside Nursing Center. Mrs. Norris was born on March 7, 1925, in Upson County, daughter of the late Joel Madison Ellington and the late Evelyn Dickens Ellington. she worked as an inspector at the Thomaston Mill Bleachery. She was a member of First United Pentecostal Church, The Rock, GA. She was predeceased by her husband, Vernon Norris of Thomaston; her baby son, Franklin Norris; her sister Bernice Estelle Armistead; and her niece, Darline Armistead. Survivors include her brother, Marvin Ellington (Rene); her nephews, Joel Armistead (Cindy); David Armistead; Donald Ellington (Lee Ann); her niece, Laura Glover (Jay); 6 great nephews and 2 great nieces. She had a warm and loving heart and will be greatly missed by all who new and loved her.
