Ruth Johnson York

Mrs. York was a native of Sandersville but had lived in Thomaston for many years. She was a veteran of the U. S. Navy. Mrs. York was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Mrs. York was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard F. York, a daughter, Patricia York Rankin, and two sisters, Mabel Shirley and Ellen Doolittle. Mrs. York is survived by two sons, Dana (Donna) York of Pickerington, OH, and Mike (Lisa) York of Jacksonville, FL; seven grandchildren, Steven York, Carol York Soloman, David York, Danielle York Cheves, Richard Rankin, J. B. York and Greg York; six great grandchildren and nine nieces and nephews.
