Thurmond Lewis Ellington

Mr. Thurmond Lewis Ellington, 64, of Thomaston, died Thursday, October 3rd, 2013 at his home. Mr. Ellington was a life-long resident of Thomaston and Upson County, a son of the late Orman I. Ellington and Della Mae Trice Ellington. He was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps and served in Vietnam. He held the rank of Lance Corporal and was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. Mr. Ellington was employed with Thomaston Building Supply until his retirement. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Ellington is survived by his wife, Sandra Williams Ellington; a daughter, Chasity Johnson of Thomaston; a step-daughter, Tiffany Daniel of Thomaston; a step-son, Benjie Ussery of Riverdale, and a sister, Jennifer Pritchett of Thomaston. Five grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive.
