Verdie D Beckham

Mrs. Beckham was born on May 22, 1922 in Chula, GA. Mrs. Beckham was the daughter of the late Thomas DeLoach and Lucille Chapman DeLoach. Mrs. Beckham was a member of Molena Baptist Church where she was the organist for many years. Mrs. Beckham was a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II, having served at the Department of the Navy and Pearl Harbor during her service. Mrs. Beckham retired from Nabisco in Woodbury. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Leon Beckham and her son, Fred Leon Beckham, Jr. She is survived by her son, Thomas E. Beckham and daughter-in-law, Donna; son John C. Beckham; six grandchildren, Jody (Stacy) Smith, Amy (Michael) Lunsford, Wendy (Lee) Wilson, Nick (Phoebe) Beckham, Jason Beckham and Brandon Beckham; and step-grandchildren, Holly (Chris) Coates and Carmen (Tommy) Parks. Seven great grandchildren and seven step great grandchildren also survive. Memorials may be sent to Molena Baptist Church, 1096 Hwy 18 West, Molena, GA., 30258 or Jones Chapel, 12973 Hwy 85, Woodbury, GA 30293.
