Mrs. Kirkland was a native of Thomaston but had lived in Manchester for many years. At the time of her death she was employed by the William Carter Company in Griffin. Mrs. Kirkland was of the Methodist faith. She was raised in the East Thomaston Methodist Church. Mrs. Kirkland loved sports and was a big football fan. She also loved helping neighbors. She is survived by two daughters, Lynn (Wade) Wiggins of Waverly Hall and Julie Tankersley of Panama City, FL; a son, Robert Glenn Tankersley of Manchester; two sisters, Madie Brooks and Martha Barfield, both of Thomaston; a brother, Marlon Wade of Warner Robins; and three grandchildren, Nash Tankersley, Zach Tankersley and Wyatt Witt, all of Panama City Florida.
