Vivian Joyce Turner Witte

Mrs. Vivian Joyce Turner Witte, 87, of Thomaston, GA., and formerly of Carteret, NJ, died Tuesday, May 14th, 2013. Memorial services for Mrs. Witte will be held on Saturday, May 25th, 2013 at 4 pm in the Chapel of the Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home in Thomaston. After the service on Saturday the family will receive friends at the home of her son, Richard Witte, 88 Blackgum Drive, Thomaston. Mrs. Witte was a native of Thomaston. She was a homemaker and lived in Carteret for over 30 years. She and her husband, the late Richard F. Witte, Jr., raised their family there, and in 1984 they returned to Thomaston. Mrs. Witte is survived by her daughter, Linda (Arthur) Straley of Thomaston; three sons, Richard F. (Cherrye) Witte of Thomaston, Robert L. (Jennifer) Witte of Perry, GA., and Jonathan (Victoria) Witte of Hackensack, NJ; and a daughter-in-law, Patricia Witte of Jackson, NJ. Eight grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, seven-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, William F. Witte.
