Walter Samuel Holliman, Sr.

August 26, 1925 — March 26, 2011

Mr. Walter S. (Sam) Holliman, Sr., age 85, of 746 Sunnyside Road, died Saturday Morning, March 26th, in Golden Living Center. Mr. Holliman was a native of Upson County. He was an Army Veteran of World War II and was a prisoner of war. He was retired from the Automotive Parts Department of the Georgia Department of Transportation. Mr. and Mrs. Holliman were married for 67 years. He attended Flint River Primitive Baptist Church. Mr. Holliman is survived by: His Wife - Mrs. Rilla S. Holliman, of Thomaston; 2 Daughters - Mrs. Glenda (Chris) Foster, of Thomaston; and Mrs. Audrey (Mickey) Bryan, of Penacola Beach, Florida; 1 son - Mr. Walter (Ann) Holliman, of Molena; 3 grandchildren - Chad (Christy) Holliman, of Thomaston; Darby (Beth) Holliman, of Brooks; and DeeGee (David) Gassett, of Thomaston; 4 Great-Grandchildren - Chasity Holliman, Thomas Holliman, Henry Holliman, and Sarah-Lauren Gassett, all of Thomaston.
