Willa Mae Brooks

March 26, 1930 — December 19, 2010

Mrs. Brooks was a native of Taylor County, a daughter of the late Bud Sams and Tera Blackston Sams. She was a homemaker and also worked in the textile industry for the Martha Mills Division of the B. F. Goodrich Company. She was a member of the Smyrna Baptist Church. Mrs. Brooks was preceded in death by a sister, Sue Wynn, a brother, Clarence Sams, and her husband, James H. Brooks.. She is survived by three sons, Scottie (Phyllis) Brooks, Ronnie (Patsy) Brooks and Jackie L. (Laura) Brooks, all of Molena; three sisters, Joyce Priest and Shirley (Jimmy) Coleman of Griffin and Mary (Hubert) Wilson of Molena; two brothers, Eugene 'Dick' Sams of Griffin and Ernest Pat (June) Sams of Thomaston; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
