William Carl "Bill" Collins

Mr. William Carl 'Bill' Collins, age 49, of Yatesville, died Friday evening, October 28, 2016, at his residence. Funeral services for Mr. Collins will be held Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Rev. Steve Maguire will officiate, and burial will follow in South View Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home on Tuesday afternoon from 1:00 until 2:00 PM. Mr. Collins was born in Ft. Lewis, WA, on January 18, 1967, to William Harris 'Billy' Collins, Jr., and Sandra Gordy Collins Wolcott. He was employed by the Georgia Department of Transportation as a welder. Survivors include his daughter: Alia Collins of Thomaston; his son: Dylan Collins of Ft. Campbell, KY; his mother: Sandra Gordy Collins (Frank) Wolcott of Hoover, AL; his father: William Harris 'Billy' (Joann) Collins of Lincolnton, GA; one brother: Christopher Scott (Angie) Collins of Lincolnton, GA; a step sister: Laurie (Eric) Larson of Evans, GA; his maternal grandparents: Carl W. and Evelyn Gordy of Macon, GA; aunt: Harriett Raines of Yatesville, GA; three uncles: Barry (Connie) Gordy of Meansville, GA; Terry (Nancy) Gordy of Griffin, GA; and Todd (Fresa) Gordy of Macon, GA.
